Competing for the club at the weekend in the final Wessex league match of the season at Taunton were a number of the club's young runners. Making the long trip worthwhile were 4 of the under 15 boys who scooped a silver team medal in their age group. Chris Dennis lead the team home with a 6th place finish with Calum Stewart (8th), Aaron Bennett (11th) and Martin Nottingham (12th) making up the team on the day (see picture attached which shows from left to right - Calum Stewart, Aaron Bennett, Martin Nottingham, Chris Dennis). Sister of Calum, Caitlin Stewart showed she is a good prospect for the future when she came in 3rd girl in the U11's race.

A number of the runners will hope to equal or better their performances at the English schools cross country championships at Mansfield on 25th March which is for the year 8 school years upwards. However some of the youngest of the club's runners have already had success for their school in the younger school age groups including Conor Newman who has won both the Southampton and the Hampshire year seven titles and Mhairi-Clair Stewart who was runner up in the Hampshire year 7 girls race.
