Sun 6th March Zoom Tri Club Mad March 10 and 20 Mile Road Races, Christchurch

This was the first time that the 10 mile race was run in addition to the well established Mad March 20 and probably explained why there were only 125 runners compared to 330 for the 20 miler. It has been a Hampshire Road Race League event in recent years organised by Christchurch Runners but is now organised by the Zoom Tri Club (Bournemouth)

The course  was a very pleasant, flat, rural run with the additional benefit of hedging which sheltered the runners from the moderate north easterly on the day. Organisation, marshalling and signing for the whole event was excellent.
