SAC Open 11th April open for Entries

The SAC Wednesday Evening Open on 11th April is now open for entries.
There is a limit to the number of field entries and a closing date of Wednesday 4th April at 12:00 noon or when event is full.

The times of events are listed as provisional and may change,check with the SAC Website for any updates to the timetable.

SAC Open Dates Confirmed

Southampton Athletic Club are pleased to confirm this years open date as:

– Wednesday 11th April,
– Wednesday 2nd May,
– Wednesday 6th June and
– Saturday 1st September

A provisional timetable for the first open is available from the events calendar and details of how to enter will be posted on the events calendar page in March.

The Mile of Miles event takes place on Wednesday 14th June at 7.30pm on Southampton Sports Centre Athletics Track If you would like to run and record a timed mile during a unique and very enjoyable 10 mile relay event please contact Ashley or Nicci. There is no minimum standard required to run all members are welcome to compete. Cost is £2 per athlete (senior) and £1 per athlete (junior)

Lastly if you have relevant skills perhaps you would consider filming the event  downloading the resultant film onto Youtube or similar media to help promote the event and preserve its memory please contact Paul Johnson. We even have permission to film using a drone over the track as it is taking place!

Dave back in paralympic action today

Dave Henson returns to paralympic action today with the semi-finals of the T42 100m taking place at approximately 4.45pm this afternoon.

After a magnificent bronze medal in the T42 200m on Sunday evening, Dave will go into the race full of confidence and hoping to make tomorrow’s final.
