An update for the next CC6 race at Ashurst Campsite for Sunday 17th February 2019 [Grid location: Grid Ref: SU 33188 09858 ]

This year’s course is based at the popular Ashurst Campsite off the main Ashurst to Lyndhurst Road. Accessible from both directions. From the main entrance to the campsite you will be directed to park by our marshals on the day. Please follow their instructions and do not park on the grass or verges unless you are told otherwise (this is the first time at the venue and the Forestry Commission are very sensitive about this). As ever, please car share as much as possible as parking is limited. Continue reading

Hardley runners who are one of the smallest clubs in the league have very kindly agreed to organise this race The Forestry Commission Permit has been granted on the basis that there is STRICTLY NO RACE PARKING on the forest car parks or its road verges so please arrange shared transport if possible.Parking will be available at Applemore College, Noadswood School,Applemore Leisure Centre and for juniors in Oak Road car park. Note there will be a strict time limit in accordance with the stores conditions for patrons of the Tesco Superstore at Applemore. There are many suitable parking places in residential streets in Dibden Pulieu but there is STRICTLY NO PARKING IN OAK ROAD OR ROMAN ROAD and runners are asked to park sensibly and with consideration for the local residents. There will be a COMPULSORY crossing point across the busy A326 at the Pegasus traffic lights near the Heath Roundabout. In 2016 the same appeals were made and one selfish runner blocked a private driveway and many parked in Roman Road. If this happens again we will be unable to use this venue and course which to my mind is one of the best in the league. Sorry to be so directive but I certainly expect all Southampton runners to abide by this request Continue reading

Young athlete cross country Team Managers named for 2016/2017

Seems a bit much naming the age group cross country Team Managers for the Autumn & Winter season on one of the hottest days of the year.  However, the traditional road & cross country season opener, the South of England road relays, is now less than a month away so the following people will look after our age group teams throughout the Autumn & Winter season.

U17M Clare Satterly

U17W & U15G Diane Reavey

U15B Helga Hale

U13B Chris Brown

U13G & U11B & U11G Donna Hulbert

We are always grateful for parents coming forward and doing such an important job in organising our age group teams in the road & cross country events so a big thank you to Clare, Diane, Helga Chris & Donna and their contact details have been added to the contact us part of the website.
