Hulbert & Brown take Hampshire schools cross country titles

The Hampshire U12, U13 & U14 cross country championships took place on Tuesday in the grounds of Gang Warily Leisure Centre near Holbury.  This event for children in school years 6, 7 & 8 featured many of the clubs young athletes who were running for their respective school districts.

In the U12 age group, Megan Hulbert won the girls race ahead of Annie Mann in 2nd.  Grace Colmer was 11th, Melissa Cooper 25th, Katie Glasspoole 28th, Kiera Bessant 29th, Gracie Jenvey 35th, Eve Emm 41st, Amy Wall 47th, Poppy Shroff 62nd and Ellie Thatcher 74th. Ben Brown won the boys U12 age group ahead of Theo Abbt in 8th with Morgan Vinen in 67th.

In the U13 age group, Madeline Cooper was best placed from the club in 11th.  Isabelle Robinson was 14th, Molly Chalk 30th, Hannah Sherman 33rd and Abigail Warrington 63rd.  In the boys race, Matthew Dyer ran a fine race to take 2nd place.  Tommy Brammer was 8th, Harry Crosby 18th, Nolan Holloway 39th and Ben Bagust 42nd.

In the U14 races for the girls, Elizabeth Adamson was 5th, Olivia Reavey 7th, Margot Broome 16th, Elisha Parham 41st and Chloe Errington 58th.  For the boys, Bradley Jenvey was 81st, Jack Greatorex 92nd and Oliver Thatcher finished the course 106th despite being unwell on the day.
