Netley 10k help required

Dear Southampton runner, jumper, and thrower,
The Netley 10k means different things to each of us. It might mean more to you than you think!…..
For some, it is an important race in the Hampshire Road Race league. For some, it’s a fantastic 6 mile run through one of Hampshire’s prettiest parks.
For most of us in our great club, however, it is an important fund-raiser, that delivers over 35% of financial backing to our track and field teams, including BAL, UKWAL, YDL, SAL, and Sportshall. Being a hugely successful club does not come cheap! And as we work our way up the leagues, the travel costs rise too.
We’d love you to come and help out at the race. We need you to come and help out at the race! Having Southampton AC Athletes, parents, guardians, or relatives, marshalling at the race firstly means that we don’t have to pay other clubs and organisations to do it for us, and secondly makes for a fantastic team atmosphere. The sight of a group of shot putters cheering 10k runners is a sight to behold!
So please put Sunday 20th May in your diary, and contact Richie Pearson, and offer your support. It’s only for 2 hours in the morning (9-11am), and the sun always shines on the day!
