RACE 10 – 1ST AUGUST – 7.15PM – ITCHEN VALLEY COUNTRY PARK
NB: Only a one week gap again, and the start time is now earlier.
COURSE: Following the same course as last year, this RR10 is approximately 4.4 miles, over grassland and forest tracks. Some tree roots and uneven going. The ground is incredibly dry so care should be taken to avoid turned ankles. The course is also fairly overgrown in places with uneven footing below the long grass.
CAR PARKING: A number of car parks are available at the Country Park, but please car share as much as possible as capacity is limited. The parking fee has been covered by the league and runners do not need to purchase a ticket.
FACILITIES: Toilets may be open at the park but not guaranteed. Please assume there no changing or toilet facilities.
OTHER USERS: We do not have exclusive use of the Country Park. Please be mindful of other users.
WATER: We will be providing water/squash but, in line with the other RR10 races, only providing a small number of cups. Please remind your runners to bring their own.
Best wishes, Kirstie Rickman, On behalf of LRR.
