Zak Mahamed bounced back to form in fantastic style by winning the U15 boys race at the UK inter-counties championships at Cofton Park in Birmingham yesterday.
Zak repeated last years race win to add to his growing list of titles and was also part of the Hampshire team that won the team race on the day. Toby Hale was 150th in the same race.
In the senior mens race, the clubs athletes made up half the Hampshire team with Matt Bennett first club runner home in 54th followed by Richard Waldron in 120th and Abdi Mahamed in 147th with all 3 being part of the Hampshire team that were 12th. Max Costley was 191st.
Mo Mahamed ran his usual excellent race to be 4th in the U20 mens race and was part of the bronze medal winner Hampshire team.
In the U13 boys race, Matthew Dyer continued his good form to be 26th and was part of the 5th placed Hampshire team. Ben Brown having turned 11 finally got to run under UKA rules in an U13 race and was 69th.
Ellie Monks was 101st in the senior womens race and was part of the Hampshire team that were 6th on the day.
Alana Spiers was 84th in the womens U20 race and was part of the Hampshire team that were 15th.
No club runners took part in the the U17 womens race but in the U15 girls age group, Izzy Richardson was 48th and Phoebe Moriarty-Palios was 148th with both girls being in the first 4 for Hampshire and therefore part of the team that were 21st.
In the U13 girls age group, Elizabeth Adamson was 108th and part of the Hampshire team that were 17th.
